99 Sheep and 1 Lamb
Remember that story in the Bible about a shepherd who leaves his flock of sheep to find one lost lamb? I always wondered what happened to the 99 who were left behind. Anyway, that story reminds me of what Mrs. McCain did fifteen years ago:
In 1991, on a visit to Bangladesh, she visited an orphanage where more than a hundred infants were living in poor conditions. At the request of the nuns who ran the orphanage, she brought home one of them, a 10-week-old girl ... Now 15, Bridget McCain is currently a high school student in Arizona.
The lamb called Bridget ended up a Senator's daughter. Makes you wonder about the other babies in that orphanage. What happened to them? I'm not suggesting that the McCain family should have adopted more kids, but if you're a chosen one (like me), you can't help thinking about all the other lambs who need homes.

The baby was going to die without heart surgery, the other babys were healthier.
