No, it's not true. But hordes of people are searching on that phrase and finding their way to Sparrowblog this morning. Does anybody know what's up?
UPDATE (thanks to the comments): It was actually Emma Claire, age 9, who made the comment, and she was teasing her Dad.

what's up is that creep matt drudge posted a headline saying that Cate is for Hillary. But when you click the link to the story, it's suspended. People are probably wondering what it's about. Unfortunately, even if it's not true, people will be using it against the Edwards campaign. God forbid anyone actually use his record and positions to form an opinion on the guy.
Hi, I wrote the story that Drudge linked to. The site isn't suspended anymore. It's actually Emma Claire,9, who picked Hillary at a campaign event in West Branch, Iowa last Saturday.

It was Emma Claire, who pointed to a Hillary pin slyly and then, smiling pointed to her father. A nine-year sense of humor -- you would have thought Matt Drudge would have been able to pick up on that.
Was that really you, Mrs. Edwards? Wow. Write back if so and I'll send Emma Claire a copy of the book about me -- another first daughter wannabe who likes to joke around with her dad.

Apparently, it was Mrs. Edwards stopping by as my site stats have gone nuts with hits from Time/CNN's blog and other places. I'm glad my First Daughter could help clear things up for the family.
Mrs. Edwards posts comments on blogs all the time. I'm quite comfortable that it was her who responded.
Why do people give Matt Drudge so much attention? He's an opportunist and a moron. When the Democrats complete their takeover of Washington, mark my words, Drudge will "see the light," and starte spending all of his time "publishing" lies and nonsense about Republicans. He's a suckup to power, nothing more.
Drudge and Bill O'reilly and Politico.com are in the tank for Hillary.
Hillary is Viagra for the GOP. No surprise that Drudge cites an OP_ED piece as news.. He's a mormon without the second "m"
And the media is just stupid enough and focused on Paris Hilton's panties to fall for it.
