It's Hard Out Here For A Prince

On NBC's Today Show, Harry (22, second from left in photo) and William (24) dished about the downside of dating when you're a Royal Hunk.

"I don't want to be liked by someone just because of who I am. I don't want the sycophantic people hanging around," William said.

"It's just as hard for our friends as it is for us," Harry added. "The reason I say that is because our friends have to put up with a lot -- when it comes to us."

William agreed, saying: "There's a lot of baggage that comes with us, trust me -- a lot of baggage."

For those of us who didn't expand our vocabularies at posh Brit schools, I looked it up and sycophantic means "a servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people." On this side of the Atlantic, Chelsea, Jenna, and Barbara know all about sychopantics -- put a "p" in front of the "s" and the dating issue gets even bleaker. (Okay, I like Scrabble. I'm good at it, too.)
