First Twins at Dad's State of the Union
The girls were flanking Mom last night during their father's speech, but no sign of husband-to-be Henry Hager cuddling next to Jenna.
The cameras at CBS and ABC did find Hilary Clinton (in a red suit that looked a lot like Laura Bush's) and Barack Obama (sitting next to Ted Kennedy, who endorsed him yesterday), but I found myself wondering why Senator McCain didn't travel up from Florida where he's been preparing for today's primary. All those missed ops to be caught on camera every time the President mentioned the surge in Iraq or immigration! Governors like Romney and Huckabee can't be there, so it would have been all McCain.
A quick visit over to Meghan McCain's blog tells me that the Senator chose to address a huge rally in Tampa last night for the sake of today's tight race. BTW, I love that Cindy McCain had to be wanded for security before boarding the campaign plane -- hey, this is America, people. EVERYBODY gets checked, even blonde, blue-eyed heiresses.
