Uncle Craig Robinson
Like the four Cindy-John McCain kids, Sasha and Malia Obama have only one blood-related uncle -- Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama's older brother, the head basketball coach at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Robinson and his wife Kelly have a 15-year-old son, Avery, and an 11-year-old daughter, Leslie, so that means along with 3-year-old Suhaila on Dad's side the Obama girls have a total of three first cousins.
Kim Chipman of Bloomberg gives us the Coach's take on his sister, including how Michelle used to get mad when people thought she played basketball because she was black and tall. The article also describes his main gain of being related to a candidate:
Robinson, who coached at Brown University before moving to Oregon State, says his brother-in-law is a major asset for him in recruiting players, what Sports Illustrated called the toughest job in college basketball.
"The notoriety that comes with being related to the potential future president has been positive, and I don't see it becoming less if he wins,'' Robinson says.

I just finished both books about you. I loved reading about your life in the White House and at the Merry Dude Dairy Farm. And what a great idea to keep your blog going with info about new contenders for First Kids.

If you are counting the daughter of Barack's half sister as a first cousin, then you should do some research on Barack's half brothers and sisters kids in Kenya. I believe there are many more than three 'first cousins'. Oh,and there are many more than one 'blood' uncles and aunts as well.
